Cabrera claims playoff victory at Masters

According to Reuters, Argentina's Angel Cabrera won the U.S. Masters on the second hole of a sudden-death playoff Sunday.

Cabrera, who became the first Latin American to win, claimed his second major by edging out Americans Kenny Perry and Chad Campbell.

According to Reuters, Cabrera hit a par four on the second playoff hole after Perry, the early leader, bogeyed. Campbell was eliminated with a bogey on the first hole.

Fans who followed the action throughout the day expressed reaction on Twitter shortly after the final hole.

TheCombatWombat Darn, I was hoping for Perry to win that. Oh well, I'm pretty happy with Cabrera too. I was rooting for him in the US Open too.
  3. Rick Frimmer
rlfcycle I can't believe Angel Cabrera won the Masters! Phil Michelson is going to think about those 2 4-footers for a long time.
