Per SI.com, The Rockets took down the Los Angeles Lakers 100-92 in Game 1 of their best-of-seven second round series on Monday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Anyone notice Tracy McGrady isn't playing? Nope.
That's because the Rockets are Yao Ming's team and his alone. Ming had 28 points and 10 boards to lead Houston, while point guard Aaron Brooks displayed non-sophomoric experience with 19 points-- some of which were dazzling dribbling displays around Kobe Bryant for layups.
Bryant scored 32 points in the loss.
Here's what fellow Tweeters are saying:
shashee Off to bed with a smile on my face, #Yao and the Rockets put it on Kobe and the Lakers. Hahahaha gotta love the NBA playoffs. DJJenkins The Rockets didn't win the game tonight, the Lakers lost it. Better get some fire going Lakers... #fb curtis_susuki Rockets won game at the point. Brooks was unstoppable. Game 2 is scheduled for Wed., May 6, at 10:30 p.m. ET in Los Angeles.
