Cutler to Burress?

Could this be to the Chicago Bears what Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison were to the Indianapolis Colts? A WSCR-AM radio report said new Bears QB Jay Cutler called former New York Giants receiver Plaxico Burress to ask if he was interested in coming to Chicago. Burress was released by the Giants April 3rd and faces a felony weapons charge. If convicted, Burress may start the 2009 season in jail.

According to David Haugh with the Chicago Tribune, signing Burress is too much of a risk. The Chicago Sun-Times, though, has a different viewpoint.
