Nuggets shock Mavericks 106-105 , NBA officials admit they made a bad call

With just a second left on the clock, Carmelo Anthony nailed a 3-pointer to give the Denver Nuggets another win over the Dallas Mavericks Saturday night.

Per SI.com, Denver beat Dallas 106-105 to take a 3-0 series lead that no other team has been able to overcome in NBA history. It's the first time for the Nuggets to have a 3-0 lead in a best-of-seven series, and if they win Monday night they'll be able to take a four-game sweep.

The NBA announced two hours after the game that the officials made a mistake. President of league operations Joel Litvin released a statement saying ''the officials missed an intentional foul committed by Antoine Wright on Carmelo Anthony, just priot to Anthony's 3-point basket."

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was not happy with the officiating, shoving a cameraman and yelling behind the scorer's table. ESPN's Mike Yam announced on his Twitter page that the NBA got that last call wrong. And Cuban's speechless:

  1. mcuban
mcuban There is absolutely nothing to say afetr that.

Per ESPN.com, Yao Ming is out for the season with a broken foot after limping off the court in the Rockets 108-94 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. The Houston center didn't practice Saturday, and the team announced Saturday night that Yao will need 8-12 weeks to recover.
