Per NHL.com, the Boston Bruins defeated the Carolina Hurricanes 4-2 to tie the series 3-3 and force a Game 7 in the Eastern Conference semi-finals.
As the top remaining seed in the NHL playoffs, the Bruins led 2-0 barely 5 minutes into the game. Despite the Hurricanes out shooting the Bruins 32-19 and scoring the first goal, Boston was able to take the game with 2:02 left on a Mark Recchi goal to win its second straight game after trailing Carolina 3-1 in the series.
Boston returns home Thursday night for the final game of the series.
